2026 Summer Pops Registration

Registration Now Open for Summer Pops 2026!

The JCB Summer Session is a fun and challenging band program for the beginner, intermediate and advanced musician, while in a relaxed and supportive environment. Members are in 5 th grade to 70+ years-old! JCB Summer Session is a good opportunity to get to know people from surrounding communities of all ages and experience levels.

The Details:

JCB is offering 3 different ensembles this summer:



JCB Young Artists Ensemble (YAE)
• 5th – 8th graders (2026-27 school year)
• Tuesday Evenings 5:30- 6:45 PM
• Additional professionals will be present during rehearsals to assist


JCB Concert Band
• 8th grade - Adults
• Tuesday Evenings 7:00- 9:00 PM
• Adults are encouraged to join! A minimum of four years of experience is needed.
• *2026-27 8th graders may participate in YAE (not mandatory)


JCB Academy Winds
• A smaller ensemble performing select repertoire.
• Tuesday Evenings from 9:00-9:30 PM
• *Academy Winds musicians also perform in the JCB Concert Band

• Aug 3rd 7:00 PM St. Luke's Church - Glenside
• Aug 5th 6:30 PM Willow Grove Park Mall (1st Level)
• Aug 6th 7:00 PM La Salle College High School - Wyndmoor


Attendance: 5 out of 8 rehearsals must be attended

Fee:
• $160.00 (Discount: $25.00 off for Members who participated in fall/ winter & spring JCB 2025-26)
• Payment Due: June 15th

Our Mission

The mission of the Jenkintown Community Band is to bring together and offer a musical outlet for a broad variety of musicians with different abilities and experiences.
The Jenkintown Community Band (JCB) is an inter-generational concert band including junior high and high school students, as well as adult members, ranging in age from 13 to over 60. The Band was founded by music director Alex Schmauk in 2008.
