You will find the JCB Fall & Winter Session to be a fun and challenging band program. In our relaxed and supportive rehearsal environment, we help to challenge the intermediate, advanced and even the professional musician. In each rehearsal and concert, we balance between having fun and striving for excellence. We have members who are in 8th grade all the way to 80+ years! JCB is a great opportunity to get to know people in surrounding communities of all ages and experience levels. Our fall and winter session runs Sunday evenings from Sept. 22tnd - Dec. 7th

JCB is offering 2 different ensembles for the fall:

JCB Concert Band
• 8th grade - Adults
• Sunday Evenings 7:00- 9:00 PM
• Adults are encouraged to join! A minimum of four years of experience is needed.


JCB Chamber Ensembles
• Depending on repertoire and instrumentation, certain chamber ensembles will be assembled to rehearse and perform for the concert.


JCB Academy Winds
• A smaller ensemble performing select repertoire.
• Tuesday Evenings from 9:00-9:30 PM
• Academy Winds musicians also perform in the JCB Concert Band

Our Mission

The mission of the Jenkintown Community Band is to bring together and offer a musical outlet for a broad variety of musicians with different abilities and experiences.
The Jenkintown Community Band (JCB) is an inter-generational concert band including junior high and high school students, as well as adult members, ranging in age from 13 to over 60. The Band was founded by music director Alex Schmauk in 2008.
